Inside the Garage Stories #1

I met David a few years ago and from the very first minutes you could feel it. He truly loves cars. Not just for what they are but for what they make you feel.

He told me about his old Spyder. One day, at a meet, someone simply walked up and offered to buy it. Out of nowhere. That moment planted a question in his mind. What could possibly come next?

He didn’t need long to find the answer. “The Touring,” he said. “The GT3 Touring.” It just made sense. The soul of the 911, the magic of the GT3, that 4.0L engine that climbs to 9000 rpm, all wrapped in something subtle. No big wing, no need to shout. Just presence.

When he came across this one, it felt right from the start. Gentian Blue, quietly elegant, paired with dark silver rims that give it balance. Inside, the details spoke to him. Carbon roof, bucket seats, carbon mirrors, blue stitching. Every box ticked. And the best part, it was waiting for him right here in Geneva.

His passion did not appear overnight. It started when he was just a kid, flipping through magazines on a school trip in the mid 90s. He remembers it so clearly. A 993 GT with riveted fenders. A yellow F355 Spider, the same one from The Rock. That was it. The spark. From that moment, cars became part of his story.

Over the years he has driven plenty. S3s, RS4s, even a Lancer Evolution IX, each one teaching him something new. But Porsche felt like home.

His first car still makes him smile. A Peugeot 205 Junior with jeans seats. It did not survive long, he laughs, but it was his. After that came a 1984 Nissan Micra, no power steering, no fuss. “At least I built some muscle,” he says with a grin.

When he talks about the Touring, his eyes light up. He calls it precise. The way the front end bites, how the rear wheels follow, how it never seems to run out of grip. And then he calls it fierce. The sound, the 9000 rpm scream, the way it fills the cabin. A mountain pass, window down, revs climbing. You cannot help but smile.

And maybe that is why it suits him so well. Like the Touring, David is the kind of person who does not need to prove anything. Discreet, calm, confident. People who know, know.

This is not just a car. It is a reflection. A piece of his story.
